Fremont Investment & Loan funds its lending activities primarily through Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insured deposit accounts. Products include certificates of deposit, savings accounts and money market deposit accounts. The company originates non-prime residential mortgage loans on a wholesale basis through a network of mortgage brokers in 46 states. Fremont General Corporation is located in Santa Monica, Calif.
