Provided by DexKnowsI love the fish den!! When i went in there I figured I could just pick all the pretty fish out and take them home. As a first time aquarium owner, I was super clueless. But they explained absolutely everything to me really patiently and told me i needed to start out with 3 rainbow danios to set up a cycle in my water that the other pretty fish could live in. I would have never chosen danios in the first place because they arent as pretty as the others but i have grown to love them more than anything. If you stick your fingers into the water they will "give you kisses." I just bought some neon fish and a couple other and am loving them! The staff is so knowledgeable and helped me out with absolutely everything i needed to start an aquarium and showed me how to use the equipment.Fish are definitely like family to them and they give you the best advice to keep your fish alive and happy. Also their selection of fish and fish supplies is extensive.I use Fish Den for all my fish needs!!

Fish Den is definitely the biggest fish store in the state. They have a good selection of fresh, salt, and brackish water fish. The tank showroom has great quality aquariums and awesome furniture. Nice selection of dry goods and filters. I recommend it. Old school building but best prices and best selection.

Provided by DexKnowsI have shopped at fish den off and on for three years. This is the first time I have gotten live plants from them. Now I am totally infested with snails. When I called to talk to them about it, all the could say was that they do not guarantee their plants and as I quote "Thats just how it is some times". They would not help with the problem and did not care. Their only suggestion was to come and buy a few clown loaches from them. No help and give me more of your money to fix the problem we created. VERY VERY poor customer service and they DO NOT CARE!

Provided by DexKnowsI haven't been to Fish Den as much as the stores on the east side of town, but every time I've been in there they were friendly and had lots of selection. The main draw for me was the plants, I haven't found anyplace with more aquatic plant variety. I haven't bought fish here but I've picked up supplies and plants. The staff is generally knowledgeable and eager to help, they have lots of tanks and occasionally have used stuff really cheap.

Provided by DexKnowsI have been going to the Fish Den for several years off and on, they havent changed, not even during thease troubled times. They have fresh and salt water stuff, a huge veriety of fish, live brine srimp and feeder fish too. There selection of assories and ornaments is unique. They have all sizes kinds of Tanks, stands and hoods. They know what they are doing.
Not a glitzy shop, and it's location is off a main street, but that probably contributes to the reasonable prices. Guys are helpful and knowledgeable. One of the few places to get duckweed for your plant eaters. You can find used equipment here, and a realistic attitude. I have had zero disease from fish or plant purchases... and I don't quarantine. I just treat the bag and tank when I introduce. Only drawback is that the shop is overcrowded and no good for wheelchairs or other assistive walking devices. (I don't need, but I have family who does.) I find myself returning to their shop and while they may not remember my tank setup, they remember me. Nice to not have to wave a card to get the sale prices. The best of old and new; big selections like the chains, but with the neighborhood fish shop feel, and no money wasted on glamour.PS...if you mention something they don't have, it tends to show up the next time you stop by....
