I recently decided to try Fantasy Spa after they had a special for a haircut, blow dry and highlights advertised on Groupon.com. I made an appointment after purchasing my Groupon to get my hair done. I should have been more skeptical while I made my appointment earlier that day when the man who made the appointment asked me "What day is it"? He also asked me if I already had pre-existing highlights so he didn't have to "Do that much, just a touch up". And he got rid of me on the phone without even taking my name or number. I arrived shortly after 3pm because of the horrendous Jersey City construction and traffic made me a couple minutes late. When I arrived, the man who said he was going to do my hair said "Oh I was just about to leave but i'll stay because I like you, I'll do you the favor". Put off by that, I sat in the seat and continued. He asked me for my groupon voucher, so I pulled up the voucher on my phone. He told me he needed the paper copy and that the app on my phone was unacceptable (I've never had that problem before). I asked if he had a printer, he said no. Talked about me in Spanish. Made up some bogus story that Groupon had to send them a "scanner". Thinking this sounded fishy, I called Groupon who said that was false and the voucher on my phone should be fine. When I told the stylist this, he proceeded to gather his things and say "Well, I'm going to the mall. But i'll be working til 8 if you want to come back" and LEFT! I called and refunded my Groupon!
