Poor communication-asked for cost of crown 3 times from office staff-never got a cost-just a bill-had insurance and it was coded so that nothing was covered except annual xrays. My bill was tice the amount of my sister-in-law's and 3 times as much as my son-in law. They told me they accepted my insurance when I went there but nothing but xrays was ever covered even though my policy stated I was entitled to discounts. When I contacted the insurance company they said it was up to the dentist to decide if the dentist wanted to give discounts and I was told by Sheridan Dental that they decided NOT to give ANY discounts-so why did they say the accepted my insurance?

Mystery to me but money seems to be the only logical answer. Humana Plus is no plus in dental insurance-dentist decides discounts-Humana does not negotiate anything-you have to negotiate your own BEFORE you have the service if you want any discount.
