Capital Trailer and Equipment Co. Inc. is the company name in which Capital Volvo Truck and Trailer was started by W. R. Maxwell Sr. W. R. had his own trucking company and did business under the name Maxwell Truck Lines. He sold his trucking company and opened the doors to Capital Trailer and Equipment Co.Inc. back in 1955. The company started as a trailer manufacturing facility then down the road, son of W. R. Maxwell, Billy Maxwell Jr., took over and moved the company more into the parts and service business which later evolved into a parts and service warehouse distributor (WD). Selling and delivering parts all over the State of Alabama. Then in the early nineties, a third generation of Maxwell s took the wheel. They acquired the Volvo Truck franchise changing the name to Capital Volvo Truck and Trailer.We hope to keep expanding and growing our business and services to better serve our customers and we feel with the great customers we currently have plus the excellent group of employees there are no limitations. Currently we have two locations to serve you offering truck sales, service, parts, exporting and a driveline and transmission/differential rebuild center.
