This has been my WORST experince with a storage company ever. They did not go through with the service I paid for and they did NOT let me know they could not comply until i had already paid. DO NOT USE IT. Do yourself a favor.

Plus, whoever is in charge of picking up the phone has some serious attitude. She was not only rude and useless but she was not understanding and gave nothing but excuses.



IM DONE.

I have NEVER had such an absol...

I have NEVER had such an absolutely HORRENDOUS experience with a storage facility before in my life. I originally contacted BMD at the beginning of May 2012 to store 3 boxes and a mattress/box spring. I scheduled at the beginning of August 2012 to have all of the items delivered on August 30, 2012. On that day, 3 boxes came, but no mattress. Today is September 5th, and I have YET to see any mattress LET ALONE have ANY contact with anyone who can tell me where the hell it is. I have been nothing but patient with this company, and the mattress, of course, was very valuable. I would never recommend this moving service to anyone, and I certainly will never be returning for business.

Horrible service. Not only did...

Horrible service. Not only did they charge fees they didn't say they charged, it's almost impossible to contact them. They delivered the boxes one week late and there was stuff missing from the boxes. They opened the boxes stole some expensive belongings and then resealed them with another tape other than the one that was originally used so it was obvious they took the things. Never use this service.

We provide $100 per box if an item is never returned due to loss. We hate to see this happen but, like FedEx or any other major logistics company, things happen in transport that are sometimes beyond our control. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Unless of course you intentionally want to make yourself frustrated and lose all of your belongings. From start to finish my experience with BoxMyDorm has been nothing but a disaster. After receiving my boxes over 26 hours late, (with no phone call or email notice that they were going to be late. They also disconnected their phones so I had no way of getting in contact with them) I was still missing 3 boxes. 2 weeks later I received one in the mail after sending countless emails and trying to contact the parent company. Another week later the second one arrived. It has now been 3 months and I still don't have my last box which contains most of my winter clothes, uggs, etc. They won't answer my emails either so I can not claim the insurance money or get reimbursed for the items lost through their service. I have never dealt with such scam artists before. PLEASE PLEASE do not use this company or you may never see your belongings again.

BoxMyDorm went through a transition phase this past move out storage season and we acknowledge that we had a few customers who experienced poor service. We grew by leaps and bounds this year and we were not prepared 100% for the thousands of customers across the country that used our service. We have since fixed the issues a few of our customers experienced and we invite any customers back for a new type of BoxMyDorm experience free of charge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I've been trying to get my boxes for over a month. They agreed to deliver on the 30th of August and never showed up nor did they call me. They were hard to reach before, but after the failed delivery they never responded to emails. I had to contact to the parent company which is equally hard to get in touch with. The parent company finally agreed to fedex the boxes to me after labor day. 8 days later I still had no boxes. I contacted them and they said they were having "issues" with fedex but that it would be fixed and ready to ship last thursday. I have yet to receive any notice of my boxes shipping and they have not arrived. They have not answered any of my emails since telling me they would ship on thrusday. After being strung along for over a month, I am finally going to have to take them to small claims court. They have held hostage 6 of my boxes which is a significant amount of my belongings. Do not use this company unless you don't want to see your boxes after summer.

We have since returned all customer's belongings from 2011 summer storage. We apologize for the inconvenience with our FedEx integration this past season. We had some issues with getting items out on time and this inconvenienced a few customer's greatly. We are very sorry and we have since fixed all our shipping issues for 2012!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I had the same problem with having my items returned. All returned except for two boxes and they charged me an extra month! The told me it was because they were still trying to find my boxes at their storage facilities. And then, once all of my boxes were returned, they charged me the following month again! Also, i cancelled my account and they charged me an EXTRA $114 on top of two monthly charges. They said that this was a charge for shipping all of my boxes back, but I NEVER saw anything that said we had to pay for return shipping- just the monthly fee and pick up, storage and return was included. I've emailed them numerous times- some not even receiving a response. You try to call and there is never an answer. I am not using this service ever again.

Boxmydorm returned 2 of the 3 ...

Boxmydorm returned 2 of the 3 items I had stored over a week after I requested a return, and the third box has not yet arrived almost a month after my request. Because of their delay in returning the box, I was charged for an extra month of storage, although that month started long after I had asked to have my items returned to me.

We will gladly refund the month of storage for this customer where her/his items was not in their storage locker. We have a subscription based storage service and the system automatically bills if there is an item remaining in their locker. We do manual overrides when this happens but we need the customer to email us so we can help. support(at)boxmydorm.com

We were very disappointed! Great concept but the service is horrible. They never came the day or time they said they would and my son had to leave his stuff in the dorm or he'd miss his flight. He had to leave basically not knowing what was going to happen to his stuff. It took them 2 days to finally pick it up. Thank God the unniversity was accomodating and held it for him. If they took any longer my son would have lost all his stuff. The unniversity was not happy.



My son has now been back at college over a week and still doesn't have his things. We can't get them on the phone. Everything has to be done by email with a 24 hour response time.



Needles to say: WE WILL NOT BE USING THEM NEXT YEAR!!!!!

We have since fixed the issue with return deliveries for 2012. This past year we had problems with weather and issues at the warehouse that we did not foresee. We have fixed all problems a few customers experienced from 2011 and we are excited about offering 2012, with no issues and 100 percent customer satisfaction.
