tldr: They don't take medical insurance. Make sure your insurer will cover any procedure before you let them perform it.

We had a tongue and lip tie correction for our infant. The service for the procedure was fantastic, but when it came to billing Cigna treats a tongue and lip tie as a medical procedure, not a dental one. Cabezon categorically refuses to work with medical insurers. We were blindsided by this and ended up with a huge bill that our insurer couldn't even negotiate or cover. Call your insurer before going here and make sure that any major procedure is covered by DENTAL, not MEDICAL insurance.

I am a mother to four. We have been to plenty of dentists over the years. That stopped when we found Dr. Tasker. The kids love him, the staff is wonderful. The hygienists are amazingly good with the kids. They don't mind going to the dentist anymore, never thought that would happen!Our son had to have an oral procedure done, and Dr. Tasker went above and beyond in our opinion. Our son was already scheduled for another surgery when we found out about the oral procedure. Dr. Tasker was able to perform our son's oral surgery beforehand, which meant he did not have to go under a general twice in a short timeframe. Not only was it the safer option, it meant our son would have one recovery instead of two. Dr. Tasker's staff was so patient with me, even telling me we could come into the office and discuss it further with Dr. Tasker if I needed to. This was after countless phone conversations with me, a frantic mom. Everyone I spoke with was so patient and kind. Trust me, I had to be driving them nuts! I couldn't decide if we should do the surgery separately or not. We trusted Dr. Tasker, and he was indeed correct. Let's put it this way, if we move to the Eastside, I will be driving to Rio Rancho. I don't think our kids would even go to a different practice.

I don't understand some people's reviews. I am sorry they didn't have the wonderful family-like feelings that my family gets when we go there. Everyone especially Dr. Blair always above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. I can only guess that somehow there was a misunderstanding. Dr. Blair is nothing short of Amazing to us. I have seen him with others and he is equally patient and wonderful. If ever there is a formal concern placed I will stand behind Dr. Blair 110% and frankly Im sure I won't be the only one. Dr. Blair, I tell everyone I know about you. You are that good! You have a True Gift! If some don't see it, please focus on those of us who do and love you dearly. You are a very skilled, highly talented dentist and a dear sweet wonderful man. You have changed my family's life for the better just by knowing you. Thank you Dr. Blair . Please Keep on Keepin on!

We first saw Dr. Blair at age 4. Kate's other dentist refused to see her until she was "comfortable" in the dentist chair. The other dentist was not a pediatric dentist and was concerned about it being traumatic. That's when we gave up and found Dr. Blair! Upon our first visit, even at age 4, and finding out she had four cavities, she was in love! OMG Between the office setup and well, Dr. Blair, how could there be trauma. He had her giggling and smiling the whole time. Dr. Blair just smiles at her now and she gets a Huge Grin! Kate and I trust him completely. When she came back for the four cavities Dr Blair was with us start to carrying her out to the car for me. He goes the extra mile and it shows. My older daughter had a tumor in her sinuses when she was young. When I brought Kate to Dr. Blair I was worried she would have one too. Dr. Blair is so focused on the patient that he wasn't worried if the insurance would cover a panoramic or not, he wanted to ease my fears. Dr; Blair is all about the patient. All about my Kate.

I've taken my three year old daughter Cabezon Pediatric Dentistry and was extremely pleased with the service we received. Dr Blair has a unique gift for working with children and his staff are equally talented. To top it off, they are known within the community for their charitable acts in benefit of children. I cannot recommend them enough!

My kids love Dr Blair. He treats each of the kids appropriate for their age, plus he provides entertainment for them while he works on their teeth.

So here is our story... We went to another dentist before Dr. Blair. The other dentist wanted to wait until Kate was "comfortable" before looking at her teeth. The other dentist was concerned about her being traumatized. At her fourth birthday they still wouldn't look at her teeth. That is when we switched to Cabezon Pediatric Dentistry. That is when we fell in love with Dr. Blair. They saw Kate right away. As for Trauma, Have you seen their office?????? OMG! ( It's been 5 years now and I still beg him to let me be a patient there!!!) Deb made us feel right at home and Dr. Blair was right there making my shy little girl just giggle her heart out! I immediately loved the extra care and how he made her feel so special! She had 4 cavities unfortunately. I knew that was a possibility because we had taken so long to have her seen. Nevertheless, Dr. Blair was so loving and fun that my usually anxious daughter had no anxiety about coming back for the fillings. When we came back, she bounced into the waiting room. Everyone was so gentle. They let her watch videos while she sipped some special juice to help her relax. Only when she was quite relaxed did we take her back. I was invited and of course went. Dr. Blair kept me calm to by his smile and constant reassurances. He even did all the silliness to make her not afraid of the laughing gas nose. Eventhough she was quite loopy, Dr. Blair and his assistant continued to amaze me. LITERALLY it was like a tennis match. He would tell Kate what a Fabulous job she was doing and then the assistant would tell Kate how great she was! Talk about positive praise and encouragement! My heart just swelled with happiness knowing that I had finally taken her to the RIGHT place. Dr. Blair knew just what to do to make everything better. Then afterwards, as if he hadn't done enough, Dr. Blair watched Kate in the swirly chair will I paid and discussed insurance. Kate was still pretty unsteady on her feet. He kept a very close eye on her and then finally helped us out to the car and buckled her in the carseat. I kid you not. He went the extra mile that day to make it a wonderful experience. 5 years later I realize he ALWAYS goes the extra mile for his patients. I truly believe he cares not just about Kate's dental health but her wellbeing overall. Kate senses that and knows she is loved when she is there. My anxiety prone daughter and her equally anxiety prone mother(me) absolutely LOVE Dr. Blair. He is a true professional with a special innate gift for dealing with children. What can I say but we love him!!

SOOOO HAPPY with this practice. My kids love Dr. Tasker and Dr Blair, kids have seen them both. Staff is great and so helpful with insurance issues. Sometimes I can't get my kids to leave they love it there so much..Great job

What an amazing Dental Practice! I have four children that see Dr. Blair and his wonderful staff Veronica, Jake and Alison. My children are 14, 12, 9, and 8. Every time we visit the Dentist they are excited to go! Cabezon Pediatric is very child friendly and always super helpful. We have had quite a time with our youngest sons teeth. He used to get massive amounts of build up on his lower teeth. I don't think we were doing our job as parents and double checking his brushing habits. We have followed Dr. Blair's advice which involved a lot of flossing, brushing and water-picking, and have seen major improvement in his teeth. Super friendly front desk who are always helpful and answer any questions that I have. Wonderful business and I am just super glad we found a Dentist that is both professional and kid friendly. Cabezon Pediatric Dentistry makes my job as a mom so much easier!! I highly recommend this dental office.

I love Dr Blair! I have 5 children ages 4-16 and he is wonderful with them. We just started here a little over a year ago and were nervous to switch dentist. My 4 yr old had to have extensive work done. She had dental surgery with had Dr. Tasked and he did fantastic work. They were able to do the surgery in the office which is so much better than in the hospital. She has followed up several times with Dr. Blair and hasn't had any other issues. You can tell that Dr Blair has children of his own. He is very kind and patient with my children and always makes me feel like I'm doing a good job with my kids. Even when my children have come back with cavities. I feel like there is no judgement here. I love it that he teaches my children how to floss their teeth. They listen to him way better than they listen to me. My kids leave the office always wanting to stay in the "no cavity club". I highly recommend using them and refer all of my friends to this office.

Our daughter had her first visit at 4 years old, we have been brushing her gums since she was a baby, and also brushing her teeth and making sure she uses mouth wash. Her first visit went well, or so we thought. She joined the no cavity club, and we were told based on the look of her teeth she wouldn't be needing x-rays. My husband and I made sure to ask Dr. Blair, if we needed to be flossing her teeth. He told us we did not because her teeth were so spaced out, that mouthwash and brushing would be sufficient. Here we are almost 6 months later, her tooth broke, and she needs to have a cap on her back molar. With a filling on the other tooth right next to it. He called this a "flossing cavity", if he would of told us we needed to be flossing her teeth every morning and night that would've been happening. I am disgusted with him as a doctor, and wouldn't recommend this office at all. Additionally we will be filing a formal complaint.

I took my girls in for their 6 month cleaning and one of my girls needed some extra work done. So we took her back a couple of weeks later for her work and the Dentists were very professional and kind. The front desk staff was also so professional and soooo kind. They were all great with my girls and made them feel very comfortable before they even sat in the chairs. Thank you all for your concern and consideration for my girls feelings!

Dr. Tasker is a really great dentist but they really need to hire better staff for the front desk. They are very rude and not helpful at all. I felt like I was being WAY overcharged even though we have insurance. I have dealt with insurance and dentists for MANY years and NEVER had such a hard time until this place. BUT the dentist is worth the hassle. Just hope he hires new front desk personnel or trains them on customer service skills - especially since the patient is the customer and without us he would not be in business.

What a wonderful place to take your children! Dr. Blair and Dr. Tasker are great! I have to say we have always had a positive experience and never any issues with insurance or staff. I've recommend this office to all of my family and friends. Thank ya'll for the wonderful work you do and for taking the time to make my children feel comfortable and excited to visit!

I took my son their for a cleaning and for x-rays and needless to say he had 6 cavities. They said they would have to do them in two trips and I asked what my portion after insurance would be, I was quoted my responsibility as being approximately $460.00 for all six teeth, so I scheduled and had my son go for his first visit, which my husband took him to and they filled 2 of the 6 cavaities and my husband paid $225.00. When my husband told me how much it was for those two teeth I knew that the other 4 were going to cost me more than just the original quote so I called and they quoted me an additional 320.00 after my insurance paid their portion. I have since contacted another dentist who has told me a much cheaper price for my portion and have been trying to get my sons dental records for about three months and have been given the run around about how they hadn't recieved payment from the insurance. Finally they recieved payment from the insurance and now say I owe them more!

My kids love to go and see Dr. Tasker they have been seeing him for 4 years now. The stiff is great and the office is very nice.

Dr. Tasker is amazing! The place is clean and nice and can't say enough about how cool it is that the kids dental chairs have flat screen tvs right over them so the kids get to watch a movie like Nemo or Lion King, etc while they are getting their teeth done. The hygenists are great as well. I do wish the front desk was a bit nicer and you apparently have to ask for headphones to watch the movies in the waiting area- they never told us so we spent 45 minutes watching "silent" movies of Despicable me and How to Train Your Dragon- we were the only ones there and no one ever mentioned head phones... But overall I highly recommend this place! My son left very excited and wanted to know when he gets to go back there!

This is a great dentist for children. Very nice staff.
