Edna Rey's has great tasting dishes that compare with some of the areas greatest. The lunch specials really give a great value.

Do not eat at Edna Ray's Chinese Restaurant because they discriminate against Mexican customers.



I just came home from eating at Edna Ray's Chinese Restaurant and I will not be returning. My roommate and I enjoyed our meal until we received the check and noticed an extra $5.15 on it. I asked what the charge was and our waitress told me it was a tip. I asked why she included the tip on the check if we were only party of 2, not a party of 6 or more which is customary. She informed me that they do that sometimes because people do not tip. Meanwhile, another customer who apparently frequents the restaurant asked if they do that on all the checks. They told her that they don't do it to all the customers. The manager then came over, I explained to her that I was going to leave a cash tip but that it was odd to include the tip on the check. She then removed the tip and apologized saying that sometimes they include it because MEXICANS DON'T TIP. Obviously, my roommate and I were offended but the manager and the waitress did not understand why were upset. Perhaps, we were offended by their discriminatory practice of only adding a tip to the checks of their Mexican customers!!! I was shocked by the audacity they had to say it to our faces but it was obvious that they did not understand that it was wrong and a stereotype. Please join my roommate and I in boycotting Edna Ray's Chinese Restaurant.
