My husband & I took our 2006 PT Cruiser in to the U Haul (3601 Santa Rosa Ave. CA) When we picked up our car everything seemed okay. We had told them that we were going to be traveling approx.1900 miles. The second day into our trip we realized that we had No Brake Lights... We tried stopping at several U Haul places along the way, but no one seemed to willing to even try to fix the problem. We knew that it wasn't a fuse or bulb since we had checked that first. We finally made it safely to Arkansas (by traveling during the day, using the switch for our tail lights as our brake lights,stressful to say the least ) where we took it to the main dealership in Springdale, AR. They told us that the wrong wiring had been put into our car so they completely rewired our car, guess what, 3 hours later; while we waited, still no brake lights. They were nice enough to drive us to our daughter's house. Now it's 3 days later still no car. We have been given the run-around & plenty of excuses but still no car or even an offer of a rental car while we wait for them to fix the problem that the Santa Rosa shop created. The Springdale office says that they now have to tow it to the Chrysler dealership to put it on their computer equipment to find out what the problem is.

The place here in AR has been apologetic & sympathetic but still no car. I called the place in Santa Rosa & haven't heard anything from them yet. Personally, we Definitely Don't Recommend the U Haul office in Santa Rosa, Ca. But none of the shops seem to know how to fix this problem, although they advertise that they are the Number 1 specialist in this field. If & when this problem is fixed we'll let you know what the final outcome is.
