General Info
WinCo Foods can trace its beginnings back to 1967 when Ralph Ward and Bud Williams founded a discount warehouse grocery store in Boise under the name Waremart. The company operated stores under the names of Waremart Food Centers and Cub Foods until 1999 when it changed its storefront name and the corporate name to WinCo Foods. It is an employee-owned company that operates a chain of more than 50 stores in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Nevada. The company has a staff of more than 9,000 full-time employees throughout the chain. It offers a selection of grocery, meat, produce, bakery, bulk food and deli products. The company offers a variety of food products, such as sandwich bread and buns, assorted nuts, frozen strawberries, coconut milk, bottled juices, canned beans and cookies. In addition, the company has a team of more than 200 drivers that provide delivery and transportation services to customers. WinCo Foods has been operational for more than 40 years and maintains a location in Stockton, Calif.

Provided by YPmobileI can usually find what I’m looking for at WINCo. They are worker owned, very good prices and have real fresh apples. RMT

Provided by YP.comThis store is a nice alternative to Foodmax or Food4less. My favorite part is the bin. You can buy pasta, mixes, beans, candy from the bin at a pretty reasonable price.

Provided by YP.comOn 9/10/08 my daughter and her two daughters ages 3 and 5 were shopping at your store. My daughter likes the prices and shops at your store often. This will not continue as her 3 year old fell out of the shopping cart on her head and not one employee came to help. My daughter had to get paper towels from the checker to help stop the bleeding. The checker didn't even ask to help or call a manager. A customer offered to call an ambulance but my daughter was able to calm her child down and stop the bleeding. She then drove to the emergency room at St. Josephs Hosp. Fortunately it only took two staples to close the wound. If this had happened at any of the other stores in Stockton I know there would have been sales people as well as a manager there to help immediately. My suggestion to you is to train your employees on how to handle this type of situation. This could have been worse and your store could have been open to a law suit.
