Lifelong Tulsan

Love that you came back from after the fire. A Tulsa tradition, great for families or date night.

You don't get what youthink you paid for...

The Admiral Twin Drive-in has not only been a part of history to the community but it also been such a family event that each of us has remembered for generations and made a part of our history. Its sad to see how the over all appearance has been going down hill over the years from one owner to the next but this evening I was even more disappointed.

We had not been to the Admiral Twin in a very long time so we decided to make the long drive (we do not live in Tulsa) this evening with the family only to be disappointed. We went to see a particular movie but it was the second movie to be shown. We sat through the first show which was pretty good but having to deal with the kids till the the one we went to see was to start was difficult. About 5 minutes after our show started it quit. We waited and waited for it to start back and then noticed that the person in charge of the film was out back smoking a cigarette and had no intentions of getting the movie started back. My son in law and daughter went to ask about how long we had to wait for the movie to start back and they were told it wasn't going to come back on and if we wanted to see it that we would have to pay again and come back that the second show is considered free.

I have to say that this is very unprofessional not to mention not very good business sense. No where publicly for us to see is there a disclaimer or public notice to such information. If we wanted to sit through just one movie we would of went somewhere else and it would of been air-conditioned, lack of airplanes flying loudly over us, better concessions, friendlier atmosphere and cheaper, not to mention cleaner bathrooms. We came to see two movies just like everyone else but one in particular and we didn't get to (the transaction was incomplete). We asked about a rain check or credit for the second show and the information above is what we were given.

For the dollar spent, the most enjoyable night on the town in Tulsa.

Historical drive-in here in Tulsa. The last of it's kind in town; don't miss a chance to enjoy a movie the old fashioned, Route 66 way!
