If I could rate this place a 0 I would! This is for anyone who has a rabbit & is thinking on getting them spayed or neutered! Please DO NOT come here. It all started when I got a call before surgery & they told me to fast my bunny, they can go into GI STATS, so I questioned this. The lady who calls before surgery’s apparently doesn’t even work in he office & didn’t know the call was for a rabbit. The day of his surgery they told me it went GREAT! When we got him his leg was COVERED in blood so he started cleaning himself. The next day we get a phone call asking “did you ice him, is his spot still oozing? I replied no one had informed me of this upon pickup! At that moment I looked where his surgery was preformed and it looked super SCARY! We had to then go back to the vet just to be told they wouldn’t stitch it up Incase of infection. The next day it was even worse! It became 100% OPEN! Back to the vet we go, they still didn’t close the opening, at this point now they decide he should have a cone.... why didn’t he have one the first day if they knew he was oozing? Also the way they prefer mode the surgery was the most painful way. They did a scrotal neuter on him, vs a pre scrotal which is less painful & only would have had 1 incision. They usually make a small incision above the area and pull them up & out. Instead they cut each sack & pulled them out! This takes 10xs longer to heal & is more painful for rabbits. I have contacted the House Rabbit Society & they agreed that this vet doesn’t have enough practice in bunnies, or they would have preformed the surgery as a pre-scrotal. Now my poor babies private is bruised and he is in nothing but pain. We will be going to a different vet. Please don’t go here if you own bunnies & want the best possible care for them🙏🏻💕

Treats my girls (dogs) like family

I came from out of county and was very nervous about switching vets. I've now been a client for over 10 years and couldn't be happier. The doctors, techs, reception, and all support staff treat my girls like they are just as important to them as they are to me. I was also ecstatic that they aren't breed prejudiced. I've run into some vets that refuse to treat my girls because they are pitbulls, Arborview has never discriminated and treat them as the loving pets they are. We also recently had a major orthopaedic issue with one. We were directed to the most appropriate care, they follow up continuously, and have been there for all questions. Thank you Arborview, all of my family (two or four legs) appreciate each of you!

Great Animal Hospital

Arborview is a great animal hospital to take your pets. There are 4 veterinarians all of which are very knowledgeable about dogs, cats, exotic animals and birds. I have been a client for many years with my parrot who started pulling out his feathers. Dr. Dartz helped me find a way to help Crystal. The clinic is AAHA certified. All the veterinarians care about your animal. The staff is efficent and friendly. joe r

crazy cat lady

They take excellent care of my cats--all my cats. The staff treats my animals well, just as my cats were their very own pets.

GeeGee

I take my pets to Arborview Animal Hospital. There are competant, knowledgeable, and caring veterinarians

there.. My son's lizard, Zack, was showing signs of not being well. I took him there and the infection was quickly diagnosed. Antiobiotics took care of the problem in 7 days, My son is happy as Zack if moving around again. The desk staff is efficent and cordial.. They of course see dogs and cats; but they welcome exotic animals--snakes, lizards etc. Just take your unusal pets to Arborview when you need a veterinarian.

Arborview Anbimal Hospittal is the place to take your pet. They care about the health of your pet. . My pet snake Rosie, a red tailed boa constricter, had an abrasion on her body. It was dianosed as a skin infection and antibiotics were prescribed. I received a call 3 days later to see if Rosie was better. I am very pleased with her care. Arborview has great doctors and a friendly staff. They welcome exotic pets and birds. It is an AAHA veterinarian clinic. Joey

Three legged Hop-A-Long

I am a returning customer to Arborview Animal Hospital owned by Dr. Carol, Dartz. I took my 3 legged cat ,Hop-A-Long, there to be examined to see if he would be safe to cohabit with my other cat, Joey. He was a stray and I rescued him from below zero weather because he waswalking funny when I found him on my porch. I took him to Dr.Carol Dartz who ran tests and told me his eye infection was a herpes. We could treat it with an eye ointment to make it better, although it will never go away. She diagnosed him immediately. Dr. Dartz cleans his teeth every 6 months because of the herpes.. She was excellent at diagnosis and treatment plus caring and concern for Hop-A-Long ( she called after the appointent to see if he was better). The whole staff was friendly. They have 2 other full time veterinarians. Thank you Dr. Dartz.

Dr. Dartz a Great Veterinarian

I visited Arborview Animal Hospital with my very sick cat. Dr. Dartz was extremly compassionate and knowlegable in treating her for diabetes. She helped get my cat ,Joey, on the proper insulin regimen after a few visits. Joey is now happy and playful. The clinic is very clean and is AAHA accredited. Dr. Dartz was efficent and had a wonderful personality. I was called after each visit on the status of Joey.I will definitely remain a loyal customer and give my trust to Dr. Dartz.

The entire staff from the receptionists to the technical assistants, kennel staff and all the doctors really care about animals. They remember all clients, their pet names, and the knowledge is superior. They even make follow up calls!

They Love Pets

They put the We Love Pets banner out in front of the hospital once a year, but they care, really care about your beloved pets all year round. Dedicated, competent, demanding, and friendly. You and your pets are in good hands with this staff.

This animal hospital is centrally located for most of central and north Porter County. They have very convenient hours knowing that you the customer can't always make a 9-5 appointment. They are extremely considerate of you and your pet. The entire staff makes you welcome. Courteous, professional, and very caring. Have had nothing but quality care for all my animals for 25 years.

Disappointed.

DO NOT advertise you are open on weekends when you are only open on Saturday (like every other vet). We called hoping you could help because we didn't get approved for credit for an emergency clinic and our dog had been in labor since 2am and continued well past 1pm. So, thanks for the false advertisement.
