Today I just left devonshire for the last time. Their mechanics are not qualified to work on high end cars with computers that track maintenance, they are extrememly expensive and dishonest. The first time I took my 06 RL for an oil change, two weeks later the car tells me an oil change is required. They claimed they did the oil change but the mechanic didnt know there was a computer they needed to reset. I brought it back the next day, it took an hour and they gave it back to me with ALL my settings reset- even the seat positions and the voice for the navigation. Second issue I had was with my compressor. Was going to be ABOUT $1200, but handed me a bill for $1800. They charged me $425 per axle for breaks and rotors, but the shop down the block will do it for $290. Today I found out when I put in a new $210 tire they snapped the valve stem, but didn't tell me, let me drive away with leaky valve.When I brought it back they blamed me, said $150 to replace. crooks

I brought my car in here for a NYS inspection. They tried to get me to pay $1000 to replace parts that were brand new (replaced elsewhere about 2 months before) and completely functional. When I refused, they failed my car. I brought it to another shop the next day and it passed without question.

I live in Riverdale NY and going to Devonshire is a bit out of my way however its well worth the "extra" trip. Literaly they had been there for ever. They are so knowledgable about cars they seem to diagnose the problem over the phone!!!!! my dad used to repair his car there till he passed away a couple of years ago. after his death I have tried other places because they were closer just to find it was a scam over and over. I paid for unneeded repairs or simply too much. either or I came to regret it and decided to go back there with my check engine light on. In less than 10 minutes the diagnosis came as a simple reset. when I asked for the charge amount I was told its free as they didn't do anything. MAN, what an honest place. I don't bother with anyone else now.
